Prelector Özlem Elitaş
Education
She was born in Zonguldak / Ereğli in 1983. She completed her primary and secondary education there. She started İzmir Şirinyer High School in 1997. She carried on and finished her education in Menemen High School in 2000. At the same year she was accepted to Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory Vocal Training Department and graduated in 2005. She graduated from Afyon Kocatepe University Social Sciences Institute Music Art Major Postgraduate Programme in 2010. She is still carrying on her studies in Afyon Kocatepe University Social Sciences Institute Music Art Major Proficiency in Art Programme.
Working Life
She started working as a Prelector in Afyon Kocatepe University State Conservatory Turkish Folk Music Department in 2005. She established Turkish Folk Music Club on scope of Afyon Kocatepe University and with this club she participated in many choir concerts as a conductor. She became a member of Elhan Turkish Music Assembly which was established in 2010. She gave many concerts in the assembly. She made her solo album with a CD project titled “Phoenix” which was published in 2014. She participated in “Saklı Musiki” CD project as a soloist in 2012. She participated as a soloist in CD projects titled “City to city, our Folk Songs, Kütahya” and “City to city, our Folk Songs, Aksaray” which was prepared by the Ministry of TRT Music Department. At the same year she was music director and soloist in the CD titled “Elif Dedim”. She invited as a guest to a tv programme “Aşina” which was prepared by TRT Music Channel in 2017 and to radio programmes of TRT as a soloist. She was the head of Afyon Kocatepe University State Conservatory Turkish Folk Music Department Vocal Training Art Major.
